International Giant Vegetable Growers Convention The IGVGC began in 1999 as a way for competitive growers to gather and exchange the latest in growing techniques. Located in Niagara Falls (Canada) and held in the spring, it has since grown to become the premier convention for giant pumpkin growers. Growers gather from North America, but it has also attracted growers making the pilgrimage from Europe throughout the years. The GPC has been taking an increasing role in helping with speakers, production, and promotion of the event since 2005. The IGVGC is a combination of informational seminars, awards ceremony, trade show, and social gathering.
